Down To Earth's Rock Phosphate is a premium powder-grade colloidal phosphate — also called soft rock phosphate — derived directly from natural mineral deposits with no synthetic processing.

Unlike fast-release phosphorus sources, rock phosphate works slowly and steadily. Once incorporated into the soil it continues releasing phosphorus across a wide pH range for months, building long-term soil fertility rather than producing a short spike and fading out. The phosphorus drives what you actually see above ground: strong root development, vigorous growth, bigger blooms, and improved fruit and seed production. Application rates:

Vegetable gardens and flower beds: 2.5 to 5 lbs per 100 square feet mixed into the top 3 inches of soil. New transplants: quarter cup per hole mixed into backfill.

Containers: quarter cup per gallon of soil for new plantings. One tablespoon per gallon every other month for established plants.
